Confirming previous speculations that a crossover model will be added to the Buick range, GM has announced that such a vehicle will make its debut at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show. The 2013 Encore, as it will come to be named, has also been teased via a single photo showing the left side of the front end.
The lines look reminiscent of the Verano sedan, with the grille being smaller and shorter than that of the Envision concept which previewed this crossover. More photos are coming in the next few weeks, so we’ll know more as we get closer to the Detroit reveal.

Rumor has it that the Encore is based on the same platform as the GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox. Both of these are built at CAMI Automotive in Ontario, Canada, where the Buick crossover is also likely to be put together.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
