The new Audi S6 is by no means the most powerful car that they’ve ever built, but with 420 hp coming from a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 it’s not exactly slow, and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque means it can really shift.
But how fast it, really? Well, Audi’s official press release said it could to 0 to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and achieve an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). But when Car&Driver magazine got a hold of the car, they managed to get it to do 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.7 seconds.
That’s almost supercar-fast, and Audi is making sure everybody knows about this, launching a commercial called 3.7 Seconds. It’s not an Oscar winning performance, and we can’t shake the feeling that they’re acting smug about it.
