The Aston Martin range is becoming a bit clearer for 2013. The Virage has been killed off, and the DB9 gets a facelift in order to take its place.
Aston says the front end of the DB9 should be "reminiscent of the outgoing Virage”, with a new hood, fender side air vent, grille surround, rear bumper and a bigger incorporated boot lip spoiler.

On the dynamic side, the DB9 now comes standard with BremboCarbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) discs that not only weigh less but are also far less resistant to fade than steel ones.

Under the hood, the 2013 DB9 has a revised engine block an head. They’ve also installed a bigger throttle body and fuel pump. The V12 comes with variable valve timing, as well as a revised air intake manifold, resulting in output of 517 PS (510bhp) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.

All the little tweaks pay off in a big way, as the new Aston Martin DB9 reaches 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than before.

The car will be on display at the 2013 Paris Motor Show and will arrive at dealerships in Europe from October. Prices in the UK have been set at £131,995, €174,994 in Germany and $185,400 in the US.
