Porsche today took the wraps off the convertible version of the new 911, which now features the same sort of shape as a cope , thanks to a new roof design that uses magnesium to save weight.
The base 911 Carrera Cabriolet is powered by a 3.4-liter 350 horsepower flat-six. This pushes the drop-top to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 286 km/h. On a combined run, it will go through 9.2 liters of fuel every 100 km and produce 217 grams of CO2. The all new convertible costs €100,532 in Germany, which is €3789 more than the old one which cost €96,843.
Meanwhile, the new 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is powered by a 3.8-liter 400 horsepower flat six mated to a seven speed manual or a PDK. It’s capable of sprinting to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 301 km/h. Pricing for the new model is set at €114,931, which is €4998 more than the 997 version that cost €109,933.
