This one goes out for those of you who like to ride their bikes rough - you might want to protect your beloved, and one of the ways of doing so is to install a set of tank sliders.
The latest product of this kind comes from R&G Racing, which offers a set of tank sliders that can protect airbox covers and the fuel tank, some pretty expensive bodywork parts. These come with a shape that mirrors that of the fuel tank and are made from carbon and Kevlar.
The R&G tank sliders are available for a wide range of bikes and can be attached using a silicone (no, not that kind of silicone).
“R&G’s Aero Crash Protectors and Bar End Sliders already do a very good job in helping to prevent a machine from making contact with the ground if dropped, but the Tank Sliders are designed to help protect the tank should a bike start to roll. They’re also good for covering up any existing tank ‘scars’,” said R&G Sales Director, Simon Hughes.
