2012 North American Car and Truck of the Year Finalists Announced

We are now one step closer to finding out the winners of the North American Car and Truck of the Year (NACTOY), as the top three finalists for both categories have recently been announced.
The cars that are now battling for the top honor, which will be announced in January 2012 are (in alphabetical order): Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra and the US-spec VW Passat.

However, when it comes to the Truck of the Year Category, things become pretty unusual, as all three finalists are anything but - we are talking about the BMW X3, Honda CR-V and the Range Rover Evoque. The winners for both categories will be selected by January 6, with the result set to be announced on January 11 at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.


Here are the cars that the jurors have selected the aforementioned models from:
