Japanese automaker Nissan has just released detailed information and images of the new 2012 GT-R model, scheduled to go on sale in its home market on November 17, 2010 for JPY8,694,000 (approx. US$107,110/ EUR77,150 at the current exchange rate). The 2012 GT-R will come with improved performance and aerodynamics, better fuel economy, as well as revised interior treatment.

The line-up expands with the addition of a racing circuit use-only "Club Track" edition and an ultra-exclusive "EGOIST" version. This means the complete 11MY Nissan GT-R range now comes with six versions, including the "Pure edition," "Black edition," "Premium edition" and "SpecV".

Each of the two new versions have a clear purpose: the 2012 Nissan GT-R Club Track edition has been developed exclusively for track usage while the EGOIST edition is all about exclusivity, with a premium sound system from Bose and allowing each customer to choose from 20 interior colors.

Performance wise, all 2012 Nissan GT-R models get a additional 44 hp when compared to the previous generation, which means their engines will deliver 530 hp at 6,400 rpm and 612 Nm of torque between 3,200 to 6,000 rpm. This has been achieved through higher turbo pressure, valve timing and air mixture ratio and a new exhaust system with larger exhaust pipes. Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX GT 600 DSST CTT tires are used as a standard feature.

Six exterior colors are available, including two new special colors: Meteo Flake Black Pearl and Aurora Flare Blue Pearl. On the wheel surface, a new Hyper Blue Black Chrome color is adopted.

The 2012 Nissan GT-R will also be released in North America, Europe and other regions starting February 2011. Nissan is also considering introducing the EGOIST version in Europe and the Middle East, and the Club Track edition in the former as well.
