The world of insanely-powered SUVs is about to welcome a new member, in the form of the new Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG, a vehicle that is expected to arrive at next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
According to Car and Driver, Mercedes is ready to give the world the bad boy version of its new ML and fortunately we won’t have to wait too long to see if this is confirmed.

We have to start talking about the 2012 ML63 AMG from under its hood, where the naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 of the outoging model is expected to be replaced by the new twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8, which means that we’re also set to receive more power.

While the outgoing ML63 AMG produced 518 hp, the new forced induction unit delivers 518 hp (or 550, if the Perfomance Package option is sepcified) when fitted to other Mercs, and we don’t see why it would be downgraded for the ML.

Of course, just like the rest of the models, the vehicle will bring important exterior and interior changes, but we’ll talk more about these at the event.
