Mercedes recently unveiled the brand new M-Class at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show back in September, a vehicle that will underpin a number of other crossover, including one with a BMW X6 rival. It soon followed this up with the ML63 AMG version that debuted 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The new sports SUV is makes use of the fresh 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo which will develop 518 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of peak torque. The engine only has 15 more power than the old version, but it will get much better milage, which is expected to be improved by 33 percent. However, you won’t be able to call it slow either, because Mercedes says it will do 0 to 60 mph (98 km/h) in just 4.7 seconds, which matched with the top speed of 155 mph or 250 km/h (electronically limited), is quite impressive.
If you want more performance, you can also have the AMG Performance Package with 550 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque, which is also unrestricted and reaches 175 mph (282 km/h).
