2012 Mercedes Benz M-Class Commercial: Tick Tock

If ever there was a commercial that demonstrates how not to market a vehicle, this is probably it. It’s called “Tick Tock”, and it’s for the brand new M-Class.
“This film shows what truly sets the new M-Class apart: Its technology. Because of many safety systems the new M-Class is one of the safest car at the current car market,” the automaker says. These systems include ones to wake you up when you start falling asleep, like you will after watching this 30 minute clip.

To film the TV commercial, the crew used an previous generation ML63 AMG, which was painted black and fitted with the latest filming equipment. So to wake you up from the commercial, we’ll tell you about the new ML63 AMG, which has the new 5.5-liter twin-turbo doing its thing in an SUV. It usually packs 518 hp, but for a few extra bucks, Mercedes can fit the AMG Performance Package with 550 hp, so you’re guaranteed not to fall asleep behind the wheel.
