The upcoming LA Auto Show will bring us a multitude of sweet new cars, among which the AMG version of the new Mercedes ML. The German automotive producer is now offering us an official teaser of the 2012 ML63 AMG, allowing us to get an idea of what the front of the go-fast SUV will look like.
The front bumper integrates generously-sized air intakes, as well as a lip, which uses a dark color. The headlights also come with new details and, since we’re here, we’ll mention that the bumper includes the LED daytime running lights.
As for what’s behind the front bumper, the SUV should get AMG’s new 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8, which, in the E63 AMG delivers 518 hp and a peak torque of 516 lb-ft. However, we should get an AMG Performance Pack, which should unleash 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The engine will probably be matted to a seven-speed MCT gearbox.
If we are to listen to what the Germans are saying, the carmaker is planning to turn the ML63 AMG into a more focused machine, so it’s got our undivided attention...
