2012 Mazda3 Videos Aplenty

Shortly after it showed up at the recent New York Auto Show, Mazda has decided to release a number of videos of its Mazda3 model, in both hatchback and sedan form. Face-lifted with an even more refined exterior and interior, the 2012 model also is the first application in North America of Mazda's innovative SKYACTIV fuel-saving and performance-oriented technologies, achieving 40 mpg on the highway.

“Together, these components will improve upon every aspect of the driving experience, including the vehicle's performance, handling, fuel economy and safety,” the company explains in a statement for the press. “Nearly one of every three Mazdas sold worldwide is a Mazda3, which, refreshed for 2012, receives the SKYACTIV powertrain as well as a refined interior and exterior design and new safety features,”

The Japanese automaker has promised that the 2.0-liter in the 2012 model will deliver a 15 percent improvement in fuel economy, while the transmission adds another four to seven percent.

“Nearly one of every three Mazdas sold worldwide is a Mazda3, which, refreshed for 2012, receives the SKYACTIV powertrain as well as a refined interior and exterior design and new safety features,”
Mazda further added.

The exterior of the car, which we can clearly see both in the design videos and the “on the road” ones, benefits from a redesigned front end that features stronger, more masculine features. The changes at the back are less radical, but it will still stand out for years to come.

Comprehensive safety features on the 2012 model include ABS, Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Emergency Stop Signaling system(ESS) as standard equipment and optional bi-xenon headlights with a pivoting adaptive front lighting system.
