Consumer Reports compared a total of four midsize luxury sedan and has named a winner in the 2012 Audi A6, which achieved an Excellent overall test score of 93, the same as the previously tested M37.
They say the car got a far better score than the 79 achieved by a previous version of the four-door, thanks in part to improved handling, a better interior and a more comfortable ride. However, the A6 wasn’t crowned for its economy as well, because the title went to the Mercedes-Benz E350 BlueTec, the fuel economy champ in group with 26 mpg US.
"The redesigned Audi A6 is an impressive car and a joy to drive," said David Champion, senior director of Consumer Reports' Auto Test Center in East Haddam, CT.
