2011 Porsche Cayenne Gets Hamann Kit

The 2011 Porsche Cayenne is now a big boy. How does this translate? we hear you asking. Well, if we’re talking tuning, it means that more and more aftermarket companies are offering modification packages for the vehicle.

The latest tuning kit for the German SUV (by the way, we’re glad that Porsche didn’t invent a new word for its SUV like BMW) was released by Hamann, with the German company tweaking the engine, suspension and aerodynamics of the vehicle.

The tuner has chosen to play with the Cayenne’s 3.0 liter V6 diesel unit, bringing an ECU remap to the game. The engine has received an output premium of 35 hp and 70 Nm, now delivering 275 hp (between 4,000 and 4,400 rpm) and 620 Nm of torque (between 2,000 and 2,250 rpm).

OK, so we’re not dealing with a road beast here, as this is a creation for efficiency lovers. However, the vehicle does come with visual performance intentions, as it has been fitted with an exterior kit. This includes a new front bumper that uses LED daytime running lights, a carbon fiber bonnet that comes with fresh side skirts with decorative elements, as well as a redesigned rear bumper that houses a quadruple exhaust system.

The vehicle now talks to the road in a different manner, as it uses an electronic lowering module for the air suspension-equipped models, which lowers the ride height by 35 mm (1.4 inches, more or less). The car uses custom alloy rims, with customers being offered a wide range of models with sizes up to 23 inches.
