Ford's engineering labs have cooked up once again this year a very special edition of the F-150 pickup truck, one which they like to call 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 edition. Set to be launched onto the market soon, the model is the most powerful such model ever offered.

This is because for this year's Harley-Davidson edition Ford used the new 6.2l V8 engine which develops 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque. It also gives the pickup a towing capacity of 9,300 pounds.

To set the special edition apart from its regular production versions, Ford gave the model a six-bar-shaped billet-style satin chrome grille with “Harley-Davidson” satin chrome badging, decorating the Tuxedo Black and Ingot Silver exterior colors. The lower stance of the pickup is enhanced by the use of 22-inch Euroflange forged wheels with a polished center wheel cap and low-profile performance tires.

The body of the pickup is adorned with graphics on the hood and body side and feature “Harley-Davidson” lettering, created in a manner which reminds you of the “speed scallops” used on hot rods.

At the interior, Ford souped up the pickup by adding seats and console lid with handmade cloisonné badges, manufactured by the same company that makes badges for Harley-Davidson. The console is fitted with a limited-edition serialization plate, individually numbered.

The special pickup truck comes equipped as standard with a 4.2-inch LCD screen, voice-activated navigation system, climate control, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, power moonroof, rear view camera, second-row heated seats, ambient lighting and Remote Start System.

“The new 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 perfectly blends the flexibility and capability of F-Series trucks with the free spirit of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles,” Eric Kuehn, chief engineer for the vehicle said in a statement. “Both companies have a passion for the road, which shines through in our specialized truck.”

Prices for the model have not yet been released.
