This year’s SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show, scheduled to be held on November 2-5 in Las Vegas, will be the host of three new interpretations of the recently launched all-new Ford Explorer, the American automaker announced today.

The carmaker will bring three different faces of the Explorer on the stand, including an urban version customized by Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell, a luxurious one designed by Galpin Auto Sports, as well as an adventurous side from CGS Performance Products.

Taken separately, the Explorer customized by Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell comes with custom logos, three-piece forged billet wheels with 24-inch Cooper tires, and Baer brakes. Inside the vehicle, its creators have fitted Katzkin two-tone leather seats with custom interior accents and Funkmaster Flex logos, as well as a Sony Xplod audio system.

Next, the concept designed by Galpin Auto Sports uses 24-inch wheels, custom silver paint on the exterior and modified exterior light treatments. Inside, the car boasts a leather-trimmed headliner that has suede running down the center, also replicated on the seat inserts, completed by an iPad fitted on the second-row console, which is viewable in either landscape or portrait mode.

Finally, CGS Performance Products’ version comes in monochromatic silver, completed by two carbon fiber mountain bikes on the roof rack. Other details include built-in video screens in the headrests, 22-inch silver wheels and the complete custom leather interior that’s designed to resemble the links on a watch band. A CGS cat-back exhaust provides more power, a throatier sound, and even improved fuel economy.

“We designed three different images for the Explorers at SEMA,”
said Melvin Betancourt, Ford specialty design manager. “The new Explorer resonates as a modern SUV, so the modifications play off all the great technology and features that the vehicle is equipped with.”
