Mitsubishi recently presented the 2010 Outlander RX limited series, a special range that was also introduced to the Aussie market last year and was based on the pre-facelift version of the car. Just like last year, the new RX comes with a number of aesthetic improvements, plus with several feature upgrades. Production will be limited to 500 units, themotorreport.com.au noted in a report.
Specifically, the RX special series is based on the LS version of the 2010 range, so it comes with all features available on this trim. However, it also adds a new front bumper and fog lights, plus a number of more "premium" features, such as 18-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels and privacy glass.
The leather and sport seat trim are instantly greeting the driver when getting behind the wheel, together with chrome door handles. Additionally, the car features Bluetooth and smart key keyless entry system. Safety includes all-wheel drive, dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Active Traction Control and Hill Start Control. The 2010 version is powered by a 2.4-liter engine fitted with a CVT transmission.
According to the aforementioned source, pricing starts at 38,475 Australian dollars.
As compared to the new version, the 2009 RX was only produced in 300 units, but offered a similar range of upgrades, including Bluetooth, a premium audio system, 18-inch wheels and other cosmetic enhancements.
