2010 Honda Civic Details and Photos Released

As the Japanese manufacturer says, due to the fact that the 2009 model year Civic has been "enhanced inside and out," for 2010, the "entire range of Civics remains largely unchanged." This means, basically, most of the enhancements brought to the 2009 MY will be carried over to 2010, including updated headlight and taillight combinations, new wheel designs and updated seating cloth materials.

The Honda Civic meets the needs of a diverse audience with economical and fun-to-drive performance in a wide variety of choices and styles,” Vicki Poponi, American Honda Motor assistant vice president. “The Civic’s reputation for durability, quality and reliability helps it stand apart from the crowd.

The 2010 Civic comes in the same four engine and four transmission choices ranging from the 1.8l i-VTEC engine paired with 5 speed manual/automatic transmission (140 hp) to the 2.0l i-VTEC engine paired with the 6 speed automatic transmission (197 hp). The remaining two
engines are the 1.3l i-VTEC hybrid engine and the 1.8l i-VTEC engine powered by natural gas.

From the safety standpoint, all the Civic line-up features side curtain airbags, driver’s and front passenger’s side airbags with a passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and dual-stage driver’s and front passenger’s airbags (SRS).

The 2010 Civic has a starting price ranging from $15,655 (Civic DX Sedan manual gearbox) to $27,000 (Civic Hybrid Sedan CVT with leather, Navi and XM Satellite Radio). The prices do not include tax, license, registration and the $710 destination charge.
