BMW Motorrad recently challenged all two wheeled fans (and not only) to take a shot at winning fascinating prizes only by submitting their creative ideas regarding the perfect motor bike of the future and launched the 2009 Innovative Contest.

So, if you are a motorcycle, scooter or moped owner and would like to bring some changes to your current asset, all you have to do is enter atizo.com, find the BMW Motorrad project and make your idea public. And even if you don't possess a vehicle like the ones mentioned above you can let your imagination fly. This contest is open to anyone who wants to be a part of the future in motorcycle industry.

The contest is not limited to design concepts. The main ideas that would state their authors as ideal candidates for winning it are the ones that make an unique mixture between technology, mobility functions, materials, services, all that in an attractive body form. Of course, the participants should have in mind a cost level for their project proposal and a target market.

Here are the main evaluation criterias, according to BMW Motorrad officials:
  • takes into account cultural and technical trends
  • addresses concrete buyer or customer groups
  • is creative and yet functional
  • is feasable

Until now, there have already been submitted 156 ideas on the innovation platform. The competition seems to have a real blast of ideas. Considering the contestants have time until July 17, 2009 to give their best shot, we can assume the imagination will only improve. The 3000 CHF (aproximately 2,600 dollars) reward and the high probability to see your concept on the streets are serious reasons to get you started.
