Photos with BMW S1000RR and Helicopter Unveiled

Since hot girls go hand in hand with hot vehicles like jelly and butter, BMW Motorrad thought of coming up with some fresh photos showing their S1000RR and a blonde supermodel probably as a compensation for the long-time we have to wait until they unveil their so-much expected motorcycle.

The guys from hellforleather have managed to get their hands on the photos and now we are ready to supply you with more details regarding the already famous motorbike. Perhaps the reason for this (unexpected) fame is just the fact that it is announced to be the coolest BMW motorbike ever.

As they promised, the motorbike will have an aluminum beam frame, an inline-four, traction control, telescopic forks and Double VANOS continuously variable exhaust and inlet valve timing for serious power and torque across the rev range instead of features like horizontally-opposed cylinders or Paralever front ends. This means the motorbike is expected to have low weight 190 kg and high power.

"The new BMW S 1000 RR race bike is an outstanding looking motorcycle in terms of its design and styling, so I was knew it would be an extraordinary motorcycle to photograph," said photographer Markus Hofmann. "Because we wanted to have a helicopter in the shot, it was necessary to discuss all the safety instructions with the pilot and make sure that the shots that we wanted were actually achievable. One of our assistants was responsible for communication with the helicopter pilot, which was done by means of hand signals in order to ensure that he could manoeuvre the helicopter into the right position and move around if necessary.”

Although the photos are not what we would call “the best ones ever”, there is a major aspect we can not simply ignore. We understand that BMW Motorrad is preparing us for their truly unique motorcycle but why did they need a helicopter in the whole picture anyway?
