For those of you who think the Audi Q5 could be a bit more appealing in appearance, we got something for you: aftermarket package designed by the engineers over at Caractere Automobile, a kit which brings a number of styling enhancements. Before rushing into details, you should know that there are no pricing details available at this point so don't get too excited before the tuning house officially rolls it out.
Now, the body kits includess, as we said, several styling upgrades, include a completely-new front bumper compatible with the S-line edition, a rear spoiler boasting or not (depending on the buyer's choice) left and right tips, a roof spoiler, a rear hatch blend and wheel arch extensions.
"All parts are made from PURim," Caractere Automobile said in a release.
Furthermore, Caractere says the additions it brought to the Q5 not only improves the appearance of the car but also bring a performance boost, mostly thanks to improve aerodynamics.
"Front bumper is specially designed to bring more fresh cool air to the engine. Rear and roof spoilers improve the drag coefficient. The new big wheels equipped with low profile tyres make the small SUV to go round corners easily, they also improve the grip and stability," Caractere mentioned in the press statements.
Unfortunately, we don't know for sure whether the performance boost is really worth mentioning as the tuning house hasn't released any figures so far. However, more details are expected to be released in the upcoming months, as Caractere Automobile mentioned the new Audi Q5 body kit is projected to go on sale in October 2009.
