Metal and automobiles have gone hand in hand for more than a century now, but this material is usually dressed and nicely wrapped in so many layers of paint that most of the times we forget it’s there. That’s not the case with the GMC pickup displayed in the attached gallery.
Going for a beat down exterior look over a high-end interior is not something new for the custom industry, as there’s a nicely sized group of customers out there always in the market for such deceitful builds. For sale at $29,900, this GMC is sure to draw the attention of some of the people in this group.

The build’s base is a pickup truck made by GM’s division back in 1949, at a time when the reconstruction of the world following the devastating war years was in full swing. Utilitarian back then, the truck has been transformed into something to be showed off on the streets and at auto shows.

Sporting a clear coated metal exterior with chrome elements (the bumper, mirrors, and hood ornament), the GMC gives no indication of what lies under its hood or behind the doors.

The engine that powers the entire build is a 5.3-liter V8, linked to an automatic transmission. Its power is sent to the rear wheels, while the front ones turn left and right thanks to a power steering system. Stopping power is ensured by disc brakes on all four wheels.

The interior is another visual highlight of the build, with its seats wrapped in leather with diamond stitching and trim elements in chrome. Air conditioning is on board for the passenger comfort, and the wooden bed in the back ensures enough space for cargo to be transported. Or just look good, as the case may be.

As said, the truck is for sale in Denver, Colorado, and the asking price is $29,900.
