If you're a fan of the iconic Indiana Jones blockbuster franchise and also love pre-war European drop-tops, then this 1928 Renault NN featured in the 1988 flick 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' might rock both your boats. The convertible four-door Renault will be auctioned off at the Brooklands Museum on Saturday, June 7th for a rather accessible amount of money.
Also dubbed the 6 CV, the French automobile is estimated to sell for anything between £9,000 to £14,000, translating to a maximum $23,450 at current rates. That's $1,000 more than the starting MSRP of a 2014 Toyota Camry, so it would be correct to categorize this pedigree-laden Renault as a dirt cheap investment.

In Steven Spielberg's 1988 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade', both Harrison Ford and Sean Connery are driven around the streets of Almeria, Spain in this very car. The right-hand drive Tourer was also featured in the centerpiece scene of the action-packed movie - the famous desert chase starring a 1917 MK VII army tank replica.

If you're curious about the technical aspects of the rear-wheel drive Renault 6 CV/Type NN, the French automobile is powered by an inline-four engine with 951cc capacity and 17 horsepower at its disposal, mated to a three-speed manual gearbox. Needless to say, this old timer hasn't been designed for drag racing.

When it was new, the Renault Type NN Tourer was theoretically able to reach the 'astonishing' top speed of 37 mph (60 km/h). In total, 150,000 units of the car were built between 1924 and 1930. The example used in the Indiana Jones movie returned to the U.K. after filming finished, where it underwent a nut-and-bolt restoration.

The vehicle comes with a V5 registration document, former MOT test certificates and a file of past service invoices.
