Perhaps the most interesting part of the 2017 Porsche 911 R we want to show you today is that the Neunelfer has at least two extra reasons, aside from its R badge, to be brought under the spotlights.
The first and most obvious one has to do with its color scheme. The stripes adorning the upper side of the 500 hp Zuffenhausen special have always been an opinion splitter (no aerodynamic pun intended) among enthusiasts and the color combo seen here only makes them stand out even more.

While some 911 Rs simply follow the launch hue combination of the vehicle or stick to a somewhat restrained approach (check out the White car in the images to your right), the one you can see in the Instagram photos at the bottom of the page is up there with the attention-grabbing Green-on-Orange example we showed you a while back.

As for the second detail that makes this clutch special stand out even among its kind, this has to do with how we came across the car.

The said Instagram pics come from Steven Aghakhani, a 13-year-old who spends an important part of his life in the driver seat of high-speed contraptions.

According to his dad, Armik, the youngster is aiming to reach Formula One, with the dad having previously sad the 13-year-old's Great Circus training would start back in the fall. In case you're curious, Armik Aghakhani helms a Beverly Hills-based tax and business consulting group.

Meanwhile, Steven is engaged in all sorts of circuit activities and he seems to be doing a pretty good job at duking it out with adults on the track.

For instance, back in September, we showed you the teenager handling a Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo racecar on Willow Springs. Steven grabbed first place in the Pro/Comp class, while grabbing second place in the overall category.

Given the 13-year-old's track time habits, he should play the heel-and-toe game inside this rear-engined coupe soon, so don't expect this 911 R to get the garage queen treatment.
