The German December offensive debuted this month in Australia with the announcement that 10 new models will be added across the 1 and 3 Series range, bringing with them the latest advancements in the manufacturer's EfficientDynamics technologies.
According to BMW, the range of cars to hit Australian shores this month have an average fuel consumption rate of under 7.0l/100 km. With the new additions, BMW will have in Australia no less than 23 models which fit just under the luxury tax threshold.
“In reality, it’s not about how many vehicles we can offer below the 7-litre mark, but giving customers the opportunity to enjoy efficient motoring without sacrificing performance in whatever segment they are interested in,” BMW Group Australia managing director Stavros Yallouridis said.
“Undertaking the latest model offensive is just one of many steps planned by BMW Group Australia to ensure BMW continues to dominate the premium luxury segment."
The cars which will enrich the BMW offering in Australia are the BMW 123d Sports Hatch, Coupe and Convertible, the 320d Coupe, Convertible and Touring and the 330d Coupe and Convertible.
Yesterday, the German carmaker announced the arrival of the M-flavored SUVs in Australia, as it will begin delivering the orders already received for the X5M and X6M.
“BMW will continue to bring the very best in automotive excellence to the Australian market and the new BMW EfficientDynamics equipped 1 and 3 series models are just another example why BMW is the number one luxury vehicle supplier in Australia and the world,” Yallouridis concluded.
