YAMAHA Bolt R-Spec (2017-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Yamaha Bolt or Star Bolt was a cruiser and cafe racer machine presented in 2013 and released in 2014. Three versions were available: the base model, the C-Spec version fitted with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), and the R-Spec version with upgraded rear shock absorbers.

The bike was very well supported by large and small aftermarket companies due to its highly customizable platform. The aftermarket companies provided various aftermarket parts that quickly transformed the bike into a bobber, rat, chopper, and scrambler style.

The Yamaha Bolt C-Spec was released in July 2014 and replaced in 2017 by the XV950SCR (scrambler). In other countries, except America, the bike was known as the Yamaha XV950 and was also available in standard, C-Spec, and R-Spec versions.

In the visual department, the 2017 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec packed standard features, such as a round headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single seat with a low seating position, a two-into-one exhaust system, and 12-spoke lightweight wheels with a fat tire mounted on the rear.

Underneath its fuel tank, the 2017 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec had installed a 942cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine fed by an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, boasting 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) torque with maximum strength at 3,000 rpm.

The 2017 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec was for sale in 2013 with an average price of $7,000.
