The Yamaha Bolt, also known as Star Bolt in the American market, was a cruiser and cafe racer motorcycle introduced in 2013 and released in 2014. The bike was powered by a 942cc V-twin engine and was also available in C-Spec and R-spec versions.

Bolt models were well supported by aftermarket companies due to their customizable platform. The bikes could quickly transform into bobber, chopper, rat, and scrambler styles. Not only large aftermarket companies manufactured parts for the Bolt models, but also smaller companies were delivering a wide range of parts.

In 2015, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Yamaha Bolt R-Spec, a machine that shared the same engine and chassis as its siblings but with a twist in the suspension department. The bike featured gold-anodized shocks with piggyback remote reservoirs plus a redesigned single seat with contrast stitching.

In the appearance department, the 2015 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec packed standard features, such as a rake-out fork, a round headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single seat, a two-into-one exhaust system, and 12-spoke lightweight wheels with a fat tire on the rear.

The bike's suspension comprised a telescopic fork on the front with 120 mm wheel travel, dual side-mounted shock absorbers with piggyback remote reservoirs, and 71 mm wheel travel on the rear.

In 2023 (at the time of writing), the 2015 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec was for sale with a price ranging between $4,500 and $8,500, depending on its condition and accessories.
