YAMAHA Bolt C-Spec (2016-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Yamaha Bolt or Star Bolt was a cruiser and cafe racer motorcycle introduced in 2013 and launched worldwide in 2014. In addition to the standard model, in July 2014, the maker released the C-Spec and R-Spec versions.

In other countries besides America, the bike was simply known as the Yamaha XV950 and was also available in a standard version alongside the higher spec C and R versions, which were equipped with ABS and upgraded rear shock absorbers.

The Yamaha Bolt had a highly customizable platform, which was well supported by small and larger aftermarket companies that delivered a wide variety of aftermarket parts, easily transforming the bikes into a bobber, chopper, rat, and scrambler style.

In 2016, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Yamaha Bolt C-Spec, a machine fitted with a solo seat, a removable passenger cowl, an aggressive clip-on handlebar, modern lighting, and steel front and rear fenders. In 2017, the Yamaha Bolt C-Spec was dropped from the range and replaced by the XV950SCR (Scrambler).

In the performance department, the 2016 Yamaha Bolt C-Spec had its soul brought to life by a 942cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine with a fuel injection system in charge of feeding the pistons, delivering 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) torque at 3,000 rpm.

The bike's suspension system comprised a telescopic fork on the front and dual side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear.
