Introduced in 2013 as a 2014 model, the Yamaha Bolt, also known as Star Bolt in the American market, was a cruiser motorcycle powered by a 942cc V-twin engine. In addition to the base model, the manufacturer also released C-Spec and R-Spec versions with features like ABS and upgraded rear shock absorbers.

The Yamaha Bolt range came with a highly customizable platform supported very well by large and small aftermarket companies, delivering a wide range of parts that quickly transformed the machine into a bobber, chopper, rat, or scrambler style.

In 2015, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Yamaha Bolt C-Spec, a machine that shared the same engine and technology as its siblings but with a few tweaks and tricks. It was fitted with a clip-on handlebar, traditional fork boots, and a removable passenger cowl.

The visual department was characterized by a raked-out fork on the front, a round headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with a black-finished muffler, and 12-spoke wheels with a fat tire on the rear.

As for the power figures, the 2015 Yamaha Bolt C-Spec had installed underneath its fuel tank a 942cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine that delivered an output power of 52 hp at 6,000 rpm and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) torque at 3,000 rpm.

In 2023, the 2015 Yamaha Bolt C-Spec was for sale with a price ranging between $5,000 and $7,500, depending on its condition.
