The 1999 MY Rieju Motors Spike 50 sports a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 49cc, single cylinder lump mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It comes standard with a non-adjustable upside-down fork in the front, a monoshock in the rear, a braking system of a single disc with two-piston calipers in the front and in the rear. It is an entry-level machine that mainly addresses younger and less-experienced riders, yet also the more experienced ones who want a more light and agile machine for the track.
