The Spanish engineers from Rieju Motors have designed another fast, lightweight and agile machine, which mainly addresses young and inexperienced riders, in the embodiment of the 2003 MY Spike 50. It sports a liquid-cooled, two-stroke. 49cc, single cylinder lump mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It comes standard with a disc-based braking system with two-piston calipers both in the front and in the rear, plus a rear monoshock suspension coupled to a non-adjustable, upside-down fork in the front.
