The 2005 MY Ducati 999S, unlike its sibling, has been equipped with race-grade suspensions and brakes, making it one of the most maneuverable and safe liter-class sportbikes available on the market. It has, at its heart, a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 999cc, 90-degree V-Twin powerhouse that was paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can reach a maximum power output of 136 horsepower and 106 Nm of torque.

Also, it comes with an Ohlins suspension package, composed of a TiN-coated, fully-adjustable upside-down fork and an adjustable monoshock with a progressive linkage in the rear, a digital instrumentation display with an analogue tachometer, cast-aluminium wheels, a two-piece dual seat and dual front disc brakes with Brembo calipers coupled to a single disc brake in the rear.
