The Spanish engineers from Derbi have created the 2002 MY Senda SM 125 4T for young and inexperienced riders, but can just as well fit more seasoned ones that want an agile and fuel-efficient machine. It has standard features such as a small windscreen, dual headlights, a single seat, an under-seat mounted exhaust system, laced wheels, a steel frame, a Paioli suspension package composed of a 41mm telescopic front fork and a mono-shock in the rear, disc brakes in the front and in the rear, an analogue instrument cluster and wide handlebars.

In the engine department it comes equipped with an air-cooled, four-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder powerplant paired to a five-speed manual transmission and can reach a maximum power output of 12 horsepower and 9 Nm of torque.
