BENELLI Tre-K 899 (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2010, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Benelli Tre-K 899, a powerful yet agile naked motorcycle also suitable for those riders who wanted to spend as much time as possible in the saddle.

It was the smaller-displacement version of the Tre-K 1130, packing almost the same standard features, like a front cowl with a medium-sized windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger and rider grab rails, optional panniers, a three-into-one exhaust system with a muffler under the seat, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.

It was built around a mixture of steel and aluminum frame with a 50 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front, offering 150 mm travel, and an adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear with 144 mm of travel.

The bike's braking power was handled by two 320 mm brake discs mounted on the front wheel and a 240 mm brake disc bolted to the rear wheel. The front discs were clamped to four-piston calipers and the rear to a dual-piston caliper.

The 2010 Benelli Tre-K 899 was powered by an 899cc four-stroke liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine with an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system feeding the pistons, delivering 105 hp at 10,000 rpm and 75 Nm (55 lb-ft) torque at 5,000 rpm.

All the power generated by the engine was sent to the rear end by a six-speed gearbox and a final chain drive, pushing the motorcycle to a top speed of 255 kph (140 mph).
