BENELLI 354 Quattro (1979-1979) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 1979, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer introduced the Benelli 354 Quattro. This middle-class naked motorcycle debuted in 1979 and was manufactured for only one year, being dropped from production in the same year.

The bike's aesthetic department was characterized by standard fittings, like 12-spoke lightweight aluminum alloy wheels, a four-into-two exhaust system with a chromed silencer on each side, a one-piece dual seat with a pillion grab handle, side-mounted rear shocks, and a round headlight upfront.

The motorcycle was assembled around a tubular steel frame that housed the suspension system, which comprised a hydraulic telescopic fork on the front and a dual-sided swingarm with side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear.

In the braking department, the bike's 18-inch front wheel was fitted with two brake discs clamped to hydraulic calipers, and the 18-inch rear wheel was equipped with a single disc tied to a hydraulic caliper.

As for power, the 1979 Benelli 354 Quattro had its soul brought to life by a 345cc four-stroke four-cylinder air-cooled engine mounted underneath its fuel tank, delivering an output power of 38 hp with maximum strength at 10,200 rpm.

A five-speed manual gearbox controlled by a wet multi-disc clutch redirected the power generated by the engine to the rear end via a chain drive, launching the machine to 145 kph (90 mph).
