The Benelli 304 was a touring-oriented motorcycle manufactured by Benelli for only five years, from 1984 to 1988. The bike was in the same category as the 354 Sport and 350 RS and was designed especially for touring purposes.

In 1988, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Benelli 304, a touring-oriented motorcycle in its last production year. It was powered by a small displacement 231cc four-cylinder engine and featured a classic Italian design.

The 1988 touring motorcycle was delivered in the same shape and form as previous models, featuring the same technical, performance, and aesthetic characteristics without any changes whatsoever.

Like previous models, the 1988 Benelli 304's aesthetic department was characterized by standard fittings, like a color-matched front fender, a round headlight, a four-into-two exhaust system with a silencer mounted on each side, a center stand, a one-piece, two-up seat, and 12-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.

Regarding power, the 1988 Benelli 304 had its heartbeat set by a 231 four-stroke four-cylinder air-cooled engine placed underneath the fuel tank, delivering a power output of 28 hp with a peak at 10,500 rpm and 19 Nm (14 lb-ft) torque at 9,000 rpm.

The motorcycle was set in motion by a five-speed manual gearbox with a manual clutch, sending the power generated by the powerhouse to the rear end through a final chain drive, making the bike reach a top speed of 150 kph (93 mph).
