The 2017 S63 AMG was one of the best GT-s on the market. It was stupid fast, gorgeous looking, and with an interior that could embarrass a high-class limousine. And it was with two doors.

When BMW introduced the first generation of the M3, Mercedes-Benz retaliated with the 190 2.5 16v. Ever since that moment (and maybe a few before but not as famous), the two German car-makers tried to offer something like no other. The AMGS63 Coupe might have been the answer for the BMW M8, but with more luxury, style, and comfort.

From the outside, the big and fast coupe featured an aggressive grille, inspired by the AMG GT model, with 14 chromed vertical slats. The front apron was divided into three air-intakes: a centrally mounted wide grille and two side pods to cool the brakes. The side sculptured profile on the fenders and doors amplified the dynamic profile of the car, which was built on a shortened S-Class platform. In the back, the slim LED taillights took their inspiration from the same AMG GT.

Inside, the front sport seats were wide and comfortable, with adjustable side bolsters. The two seats in the back offered enough legroom and headroom for adult passengers. The S63 Coupe was a true 2+2 vehicle. For the instrument panel, AMG S63 Coupe featured a 12.2” wide-screen color display that reproduced the round dials of a classic instrument cluster.

The 4.0-liter bi-turbo engine under the hood was designed for torque more than for power. Its 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) if torque were able to rocket the car from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds.
