We’ve yet to receive an official statement about this car from Volvo themselves, but Autoblog.nl has just posted this teaser photo of what is believed to be the all-new V40 five-door hatchback. This car is supposed to be a sort of bigger, more practical contender for the global market, based on the same platform as the C30.
Originally, it was supposed to be called the V30, but new reports say the car that will bow in bow at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show will be known as the V40. The model will have plenty of premium appeal targeted both from a design and content point of view at stuff like the BMW 1-Series and the Audi A3 Sportback.
Volvo has recently announced a clear focus of new four-cylinder engines, and its likely these will be dominating both diesel and gasoline fronts.
