Nissan proudly announced about a month ago that they had sold no less than 25,000 Leaf EVs in United States so far. That might sound like a lot, but it's only a drop in the ocean compared to the Altima, Rogue, Pathfinder or Rogue.
With so few of them on the road, you'd think resale value would be through the roof, that depreciation would be next to zero. But the Nissan Leaf has rewarded its trailblazer owners with awful resale values.
We did a quick check on eBay and found only a dozen Leafs for sale, but they were all kind of cheap. Most had done about 10,000 miles in two years and are now worth around $15,000. Wind find this unbelievably reasonable, considering they're 2011 cars are still covered by the Nissan warranty.
Editor's note: How much gas can you buy with $10,000 of lost value per year?
Check out the eBay listings for the Nissan Leaf. Who knows, maybe there's a car out there for you.
