Club Lexus recently stumbled uptown a picture of a very interesting future Lexus car in a Japanese magazine called Best Car. While we haven't been able to find a digital version of the story, we do have most of the details figured out.
Apparently, the Lexus LF-LC actually previewed a replacement for the SC, which was killed off in 2010.

The story makes mention of the previous SC, which was the second generation and three more cars. Those are actually the Toyota Soarer's generations, a car which was basically a posh version of the Supra, based on the same chassis as Toyota's iconic sportscar. And guess which car Toyota is working to revive in partnership with BMW?

So, the revival of the SC makes a lot of sense. The story on the next SC is that the car will come with two engine variants. The basic one will be getting the usual 3.5-liter V6, but tuned to 350 PS produced at 4,000 rpm. That sounds like an electrically assisted output to us, but there's no mention of that. There's also going to be a 4.6-liter V8 version with 500 horsepower aimed unashamedly at BMW and Mercedes buyers.

The third-gen Lexus SC will be 4,710mm long, 1920mm wide, 1350mm tall and will ride on a 2870mm wheelbase. That puts it roughly in the same class as the 2013 Lexus GS.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
