Toyota’s VErso is a modern MPV introduced by the Japanese automaker to replace the old Corolla Verso model. The car was first shown by Toyota during the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. The styling is currently borrowed from the Corolla and the Auris, both of which will be replaced soon.
Rather than start from scratch and build a new one on the fresh platform, Toyota is giving the Verso some new sheetmetal and bumpers. Yes, this is a facelift, but it’s a substantial one at that. The whole front end has been changed, including the bumper. In fact, by the looks of things, only the doors and roof have not changed.

We expect the new Verso MPV to debut after the Corolla and Auris, which will be shown later this year. The same sort of engine range is going to be used, so expect four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines in the 130- to 180-hp range plus the 136 hp petrol-hybrid from the Auris Hybrid to arrive.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
