The Aventador LP700-4 has already been unofficially confirmed as a Roadster by United States EPA department last year. And recent industry speculation suggested that car was going to bow at the Geneva Motor Show, which starts March 6th.
With little more than a week to go until then, we’re not quite sure the Italians have it ready. But it’s not going to be long now, because the carbon fiber monocoque has already been sliced and “Roadstered”. These are the first official spy photos we bring you of the new flagship convertible model as it was undergoing testing in Northern Sweden.

We’re not quite sure yet. But judging by the fact that the engine cover for that all-mighty V12 is basically the same, we think the roof won’t retract into a rear compartment. Most likely, you’ll still have to get out of the car and take off or put back up a roof that fits into the compartment at the front.

But this is very much a special car for a special occasion, and not even the ‘special’ price will deter people from buying it.

Lamborghini is rumored to bring two new cars to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. One is this, the new flagship Roadster, and the other is a limited-production version of the Sesto Elemento.
