BMW is currently offering plenty of music streaming apps integrated in its ConnectedDrive system but that list is apparently going to get even bigger thanks to Spotify integration. According to TechCrunch.com, the official announcement is bound to take place today.
The famous app has just recently signed a similar deal with Über, the car sharing platform that is very popular these days in the States. Thanks to the new partnership, passengers can now activate and listen to their Spotify music while traveling in Über cars.

BMW’s ever expanding ranged of integrated apps using the ConnectedDrive system is pointing in a direction we’d very much like to see shaping up the automotive world in the future. The Bavarian company is today one of the best in the world when it comes to support for various apps. It’s truly a Cinderella story.

Not too long ago, when iDrive was first introduced, it has a poor interface and it was confusing, to say the least. Today, it’s ranked amongst the best in the business and, even though it has a lot of submenus, it can be pretty easy to use.

What makes it really special though, is how apps are integrated into it and the amount of support you get for them. BMW basically has the largest database of apps integrated in their iDrive ConnectedDrive system and the portfolio keeps expanding.

With the new Spotify support, the list of streaming apps that can be used inside a BMW grows to 11, including names like Deezer, TuneIn, Napster/Rhapsody, Audible and Pandora.
