Just when you thought it was safe to make a Hail Mary prediction that Scion was showing a prototype Scion FR-S without a roof at a drifting event, the truth comes out. This is actually a Speedseter one-off built by Cartel Customs, a California-based company that likes to make really unique customs.
Their work with Scion spans at least a good couple of years, as we’ve shown you the Cartel Pitt Boss Scion iQ at SEMA 2011, and at the 2010 show, the Cartel XB stretch limo.

Getting back to the car at hand, the brand new FR-S sports coupe has been chopped and changed from a 2+2 to a pure two-seater speedster. The interior features a sporty red and white interior and there are ‘86’ badges everywhere, even on the door locks.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
