Unveiled back in March, at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the new Rolls-Royce Wraith Coupe is set to meet its first customers in fourth quarter.
Described as the “ultimate gentlemen’s gran turismo”, the Ghost-based fastback has a starting price of €245,000. Not at all suprising when talking about a Rolls-Royce, but the British automaker knows that such a price tag needs to be accompanied by a perfect vehicle, that’s able to offer more than just power/speed and a luxurious interior.
As with any Rolls-Royce, the Wraith Coupe needs to provide the best driving experience, and to get it there, the luxury manufacturer has put the vehicle through the most enduring tests. The result? The Wraith guarantees “drama and dynamism on the road”, a statement which is detailed in the video uploaded below.
As a reminder, the new coupe is powered by a 6.6-liter V12 engine with an output of 624 bhp and 590 pound-feet of torque, and can reach the 62 mph mark from a standing start in just 4.6 seconds. The Wraith also marks the debut of brand-new Satellite Aided Transmission, which uses GPS mapping data to pre-select the correct gear for the road terrain ahead.
