One Of The Most British Motorcycle Accidents Ever

Rider hits jaywalker 1 photo

Yes, this video is quite old but apparently is getting another round of attention over the Internet. Why? Because it’s so British and amusing to watch.
So we got this ‘chap’ riding his Honda CBF125 through the busy UK traffic (probably London, I’m not a license plate wizard) and everything seems to go well. The guy is so happy to be on his bike he is whistling a made-up song.

But, as you might know, you should never be that chill while riding. Even at slow speeds, bad stuff can happen, and you always need to be scanning the street. And in this case, a jaywalker stepped right in front of the bike without looking and got hit.

Moreover, it was an older lady, and by the look of the fall he took, you might say she broke her hip or something. But fortunately, she’s fine and gets up immediately. The rider appears to be OK too.

That’s not the funny part. Things get very British as the lady starts asking a question and the rider responds accordingly. I’m not going to spoil it, though, so you should go click the video below.

But not before I give you another quick talk about the importance of scanning your surroundings while riding, especially around a busy city like London known for jaywalkers. And yes, I said 'surroundings', not 'road', because danger can come from the sidewalk as well, and you have this video to prove so.

When you ride, you basically have to think for you and for the rest of the people around. For example - if you are passing a slow moving car, you should briefly put yourself into the driver’s place and imagine what could happen if there’s a pothole up ahead, or if there’s something else that would determine the car to cut you off.

It might be hard at first, but with time, you'll get the hang of it and you'd be surprised by how many imagined scenarios can become true.
