Miss Tuning 2011 Winner Announced: Mandy Lange [Gallery]

As we’ve already gotten used to, early May is when we get to see how the next girl we’ll find in the pages of the Tuning Calendar will look like. We’ve waited to hear this year’s winner and, more importantly, see her photos for a while, and we are now ready to share this with you. This year’s winner of the Miss Tuning contest which took place the past weekend at the world’s largest tuning fair in Germany is Mandy Lange.

Tuning World Bodensee 2011 crowned 23-year-old business assistant working in the sports and fitness industry as the new ambassador of the tuning industry for the year to come. “I still can’t believe it – it’s just incredible,” said the newly crowned winner.

The competition was quite fierce, as Lange emerged victorious from among the 18 finalists who were chosen from over 500 applicants. The nine-member jury was impressed with her modeling of evening clothes, streetwear and a bikini, as well as with her interview. The second and third-place winners were Adriana Popa from Munich and Lilia Kutlina from Horbranz, Austria.

It was last year’s winner Kristin Zippel herself that placed the crown on the new winner’s head, respecting the contest’s tradition.

Over the next year, she will represent the international tuning scene as well as being the subject of the exclusive 2012 MISS TUNING calendar. The idyllic beaches and impressive cityscapes of Croatia will be the backdrop for her first glossy calendar.

But wait until you hear this: Lange enjoys riding horses. No, this wasn’t it. Well, that too, but she also got to trade in her old Audi for her newly won company car, a Skoda Fabia RS. “The car is great! I can hardly wait to drive the little green speedster.” Lange will also enjoy a two-month supply of unlimited pizza from pizza.de.
