Finally, the wait is over and we are able to show you photos of this year’s winner of the Miss Tuning contest which took place the past weekend at the world’s largest tuning fair in Germany. Tuning World Bodensee 2010 crowned 26-year-old model Kristin Zippel as the new ambassador of the tuning industry for the year to come.

“I am both surprised and happy at the same time. Although I’ve flirted with the Miss Tuning title, I never expected of actually winning it,” Zippel was quoted as saying by autobild.de.

Kristin Zippel was in the final against the second and third placed Jennifer Ziegener and Iren Then, so the competition was quite fierce. It was last year’s winner Martina Ivezaj herself that placed the crown on the new winner’s head, respecting the contest’s tradition.

Ivezaj, 20, said she managed to make many interesting contacts during her one-year term as Miss Tuning and hopes she will continue to work as a model in the future. Which is what Zippel dares to hope as well.

“I am looking forward to my term as Miss Tuning and I am particularly curious about what to expect in the coming months,” said the excited 26-year-old for the aforementioned source.

Zippel already received the keys to her own Nissan sports car, and will take part in a calendar project photo shoot in North America’s Great Lakes region. The calendar from the past years failed to disappoint us so far, so we can only imagine how will the next photos look like. Until then, however, all we can do is wait...
