MINI Paceman Makes Video Debut [Video]

Following the lines of the 2012 Detroit Motor Show concept, MINI has produced its very first three-door crossover model, featuring fresh styling for the back end and revisions to the chassis.

The Paceman is 10 mm (0.39 inches) lower to the ground and also 31 mm (1.22 inches) shorter compared to its five-door Countryman. The roof is sloped downwards, while the doors are longer. The arches have been widened, giving a sportier look. You’re not going to mistake it for a track car, but it might feel surprisingly sport, and should make a decent JCW model.

At launch, the Paceman will come with two petrol engines and two diesels. All engines come with a manual six-speed manual gearbox, while a six-speed automatic is optional.
