CinePrint technology uses an iPad to animate and bring various printed works to life. Lexus has used this technology to make a magazine ad for its new ES much more interested - they have succeeded!

The iPad is simply placed just below the desired page, and it acts as both a backlight and an animation screen, turing a boring old printed ad into something quite special. This particular ad, from Sports Illustrated was specifically designed to work with the technology, and work it does.

As Lexus put it, it is a "a tactile and visceral connection that brings one closer to the printed page with a multi-sensory experience that combines sight, sound and touch." We are really curious as to how far this technology can be taken, and we have a hunch that even more impressive spectacles can be created using it.
